This committee is responsible for planning the RPPTL Section's Annual Convention and Seminar.
We are excited to announce the 2019 Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Annual Convention which will take place this year at the Opal Sands Hotel in Clearwater Beach from May 30, 2019 through June 2, 2019. We hope that you consider joining us at this exciting event!
Thursday: We will kick off the convention with a grab and go breakfast followed by a busy day of committee meetings! After the long day of committee meetings, we have planned a unique evening with an exciting private event at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium (“CMA”), featuring Winter and Hope the Dolphins from Dolphin Tale, followed by an outdoor reception at the nearby Cantina Marina. Guests will be entertained on the rooftop while watching the beautiful sunset. The air conditioned Jolley Trolley will provide roundtrip transportation throughout the night to CMA and Cantina Marina. In addition, guests will have the option of taking a boat ride from CMA to Cantina Marina. The evening will conclude with a hospitality suite at the oceanfront bar on the Opal Sands property.
Friday: Day 2 of the convention will start with another grab and go breakfast followed by a half day seminar. After the seminar, we will gather for the annual convention luncheon where we will elect our officers for the next year, followed by additional committee meetings throughout the afternoon. While the attendees are in meetings, the spouses and guests of the attendees will have the option to travel to the nearby quaint town of Dunedin for shopping and lunch or a boating tour with CMA. The evening will kick off with a beautiful reception in the hotel’s foyer overlooking the beach followed by a formal awards dinner. Finally, we will end the evening with a casino night, with gaming tables throughout the hotel lobby. While the adults are enjoying the dinner and casino night, the kids will be entertained with a special activity through the hotel.
Saturday: Day 3 of the convention marks another busy day of meetings, with roundtables and the executive council meeting. Our meetings should end by noon, allowing the attendees to join their families for some fun on the beach for a light lunch with beach activities including reserved beach umbrellas, beach volleyball and water sports. That night we will gather for a farewell event to cap off the convention!
