Committees

Probate & Trust

Liaison to Elder Law Section

The scope and function of the Elder Law Liaisons of the RPPTL Section is to maintain and improve communication, coordinate, to provide a resource and information and to foster interaction on issues of importance to both Sections and their various committees. The Liaisons also act as advocates to each Section on matters of common interest between the Elder Law Section and the RPPTL Section.

In addition to addressing traditional planning needs relating to wills, trusts, taxes, and pension planning, the Elder Law Section also addresses issues specific to the elder community, such as elder abuse and neglect, long-term health care planning, nursing home care, Medicare, Medical Assistance, Social Security, and other public benefits. Through a quarterly newsletter, a website and CLE seminars section members are provided with the resources to keep abreast of the latest developments in elder law, to network with experienced elder law attorneys, and to serve an increasingly large and complex elder population.
